Please note: Blackhawk Technical College will never ask for your password.

First time users will be automatically prompted to create a new password when attempting to log in with their temporary password (i.e. Blackhawk000123456).  After that, you are required to change your password every 180 days.  You will also be required to set up your password recovery options and multi-factor authentication (MFA) methods.

What is my temporary password?

Your password is initially set to Blackhawk and your 9-digit student ID number (found on your acceptance letter or on your registration schedule/bill).

Example: Blackhawk000123456

Forgot your password?

You can change your BTC password using the Password Reset Tool or by clicking "Can't access your account" at the MyBTC login screen. You will be prompted to verify your identity using the verification method you configured at your first log in.

How do I update my authentication verification methods?

To change your password or update your security verification, click Update Information or browse to your account settings within Webmail after logging in to MyBTC.

What are the password requirements?

Passwords are case-sensitive and must be at least eight characters, have a capital and lower case letter, and contain a number or special character. Your password cannot be the same as your previous six passwords or contain any part of your name, student ID number, or the word blackhawk.

You are required to change your password every 180 days and use MFA when not connected to a campus network.
